Designed and constructed by GROW members, our banner represents our local states, Oregon with depictions of a rose (representing Portland), salmon and trees, and Washington with Seattle's Space Needle, apples and trees. An oval picture of a man & woman represents our ancestors. And at the bottom, the farm, equipment and bounty in the wagon represents our ancestors' livelihood in Russia and for some, in America.
At the top in German are the words "Freiheit, Glaube, und Familie" meaning Freedom, Faith, Family
