Joni Jundt showed us genealogy resources she uses including Ancestry, Family Search, Find A Grave and others. Questions from the attendees were answered. After the presentation we had our potluck, enjoying hot dishes, salads, desserts and other delicious items.
On Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 1 pm to 3 pm we had a cookie exchange and fellowship. 12 members and friends attended, brining a wide variety of cookies and other goodies along with some snack items. We enjoyed each others company and the cookies!
GROW Member, Kay Carey , showed us sourdough making techniques, provided a handout and had some delicious samples of cake, bread and muffins made with sourdough. In addition she provided sourdough starter for attendees to take home to use in their own sourdough journey. Join us for our annual picnic on Sunday, August 25th, from 11 am to 3 pm, at 5626 NE Alameda, Portland, at the German Haus Biergarten. We also have the option to be inside if the weather is unsuitable.
This is a potluck so bring a favorite food to share. Water and ice tea will be provided along with German Sausages. We plan to start our meal at 12 noon.

April 28th was our Annual Meeting and Board of Directors elections. Additionally we discussed German Fairy Tales, especially those gathered by the Grimm Brothers.
